Cambodia to join Miss Universe 2017 for the first time

Another Asian beauty is ready to conquer the Miss Universe stage as Cambodia makes its historic debut in the world renowned beauty pageant.

Sotheary Bee, a 19-year old high school student and part time model won Miss Cambodia 2016.  

Just like many of the candidates, Sotheary is also a volleyball player and she is now undergoing extensive training as preparations for this year’s Miss Universe pageant.

According to Sotheary, she’s so excited to represent her country adding “I will do my best to show the real beauty of Cambodian women and the world will know more about our country.”  

She instantly gained widespread support and attention from local fans after winning Miss Cambodia 2016 pageant. 

Many observers have expressed that she will be able to perfectly represent Cambodia in the international stage with her beauty, intelligence and overall charm.

This early, pageant enthusiasts were impressed by her charm and utter optimism that Sotheary can fare well in the league of her Asian candidates when the competition begins in search for the successor of Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere.
