Egyptian model wins the inaugural Man of the World pageant


26-year old Egyptian fashion model based in Manila was crowned Man of the World during its inaugural pageant at One Esplanade in Pasay City last 28 July besting 26 other candidates from around the world.

Mustafa Galal Elizali was a crowd favorite prior to his victory. He finished Commerce major in Accounting from the Alexandria University in Egypt. Mustafa worked in Dubai for Porsche’s administration department. He first competed in Starhunt contest where bagged Mister Congeniality.

The 6’2 model is currently staying in Manila where he is an official model of SM Philippines. Mustafa also modeled for Avon, a popular beauty line in the country.

The Top 3 candidates were asked common question, “Why should you win Man of the World 2017?”

Mustafa answered” If given the chance to be Man of the World, he has to be man of his word. Three keys for Man of the World – being humble, simple and believe in himself. And that’s how can he be responsible in his attitude, his mentality and everything. And he has to be an inspiration to every man, anytime and anywhere.”

Man of the World advocates masculinity with responsibility. First Runner Up went to Nguyen Huu Long of Vietnam while Abou Sahyoun Wasslim of Palestine won second Runner Up.

Meanwhile, Police Inspector Christopher Dulagan made it to the semis after he won the People’s Choice Award.



Other delegates who made it to the Top 18 were Moldova, Guam, Australia, Spain, Puerto Rico, Colombia, England, Cape Verde, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Zambia, Korea, Thailand and Syria.
